I wonder if you can help me. There is a reference I’ve found on the internet to the choir stalls that you have at St Dominic’s having come from Peterborough Cathedral in the 1890s. I am interested to know if those same choir stalls are in use in the church today.
My interest comes from the fact that the carpentry for the stalls was carried out by my great great great grandfather Francis Ruddle in the late 1820s or the 1830s.
I am visiting Peterborough Cathedral this coming week and am carrying out some research in advance of my visit.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
